Cranberry Sauce Stain Removal

Let’s get those stains out!

Thanksgiving is the time of the year when family comes together around the table to share a feast of food and remember all of the things we are thankful for.

If you find yourself hosting the feast this year bookmark this post .

One of the most dreaded spills is dark red cranberry sauce!

Good thing your local Carpet Cleaning company Carolina Green Steam has you covered if any of it ends up on your Upholstery Or Carpet .

Step 1 : Grab a spoon and a clean white towel or cloth. Use the spoon to pick up any large pieces of the cranberry sauce and the white towel or cloth to blot up as much of the liquid as possible. Keep in mind while blotting you want to work from the outside of the stain towards the middle. This helps prevent spreading the stain and making a bigger mess!

Step 2: Mix one teaspoon of a mild soap such as Dawn and 2 cups of warm water. Use another clean white cloth and blot the stain with the cleaning solution working again from the outside toward the center. Continue to blot the stain using clean areas of cloth until the stain is removed.

Step 3: Dampen a clean white towel or cloth with the mild cleaning solution and blot the stain. Continue to blot until it is removed.

If the stain does not seem to be lifting anymore using the dish liquid solution you can repeat the same steps as above with one of these.

– 2/3 cup of alcohol and one tablespoon of white vinegar

– One tablespoon of ammonia and two cups of warm water.

Red stains are some of the most difficult to remove, but if you clean them as soon as you discover them they should be a piece of cake.

For all of those Thanksgiving Day spills that just won’t come out of your Carpet  and Upholstery give the pros at Carolina Green Steam  a call. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving holiday!!
